I don’t believe in any one set method for teaching. Everyone is different. No system will work for everyone. However, I’ve developed this series for people who are new to the genre but have some experience on the guitar. The only prerequisites are:
-The technical ability to play all the common major and minor chord shapes. -The technical ability to use a pick. If you’re able to play a simple scale in 8th notes at 100bpm, that’s enough.
This course is really for those who need the extra help and who need some kind of structure. We will cover everything you really need to know to play this music as soon as possible with the least hassle as possible. The focus is on playing actually music.
With Stephane Wrembel, Stochelo Rosenberg, Simba Baumgartner, Paulus Schafer, Olli Soikkeli, Sara L’Abriola, Nick Anderson, Thor Jensen, Ari Folman-Cohen, Daisy Castro, Pierre “Kamlo” Barré and very special guest Sam Bush.
Recording latency is wonky and inconsistent in Bandlab and might cause tracks to be out of sync. So make clicks in time (like banging the pick against the guitar) and align them manually to an MP3 BPM intro from below to sync the tracks.
Join us on Nov 29 12:00-12:30 MST on the Gypsy Jazz Discord server for a live introduction and Q&A on how to record tracks together across the word in “realtime” using Bandlab at https://discord.gg/Q5X3vMG.
